The Schizophrenia Fellowship

The Schizophrenia Fellowship of Queensland Inc. was established in 1985 by people living with schizophrenia and their family members. Founding members sought to redress government and community neglect of individuals living with schizophrenia, and to share support, resources, and understanding with their peers.

The Schizophrenia Fellowship of Queensland Inc. today provides services and support for people living with schizophrenia and other serious mental illness (including bipolar disorder, chronic depression), and their family members. Services Include:

• Information and referral
• Community education
• Research promotion and funding
• Social and prevocational rehabilitation
• Recreation and respite
• Lifestyle support
• Accommodation, and
• Support groups

Services are located in specific geographical areas across South Queensland; not all services are available in all areas. The Fellowship is committed to developing new services relevant to members over time.
